That's the name of the cookbook one of my awesome coworkers brought in for me after I confessed for the billionth time that I do not know how to cook anything. It's been sitting on my counter for weeks now. I've thumbed through its pretty pages and dreamt the dreams of some perfectly toasted concoction whilst my frozen pizza bakes at a reasonable 400° for 18 minutes. But next week will be different! I have chosen un capolavoro for my first attempt at actual cooking -- RATATOUILLE! The recipe says it only makes 4 servings which is perfecto since neither the dog nor the cat nor the man in this house would be caught dead eating an eggplant. Here's hoping all 4 servings are mostly edible! Cooking tips and good vibes are appreciated. :)
#PluckyCooks: Ratatouille .... hopefully
good luck!! ratatouille was the first thing i ever cooked. it was so easy (the recipe my friend gave me) and i have tweaked it over the years but it's so good! hope yours turns out well.
ReplyDeleteThank you!! In other news, James brought me vegetables from the family farm for this venture and not a single eggplant to be found... Hmm.
Deletehehe can't wait to see how it goes. Love this pic btw.
ReplyDeleteThank you! This pic took up entirely too much time. haha And it turned out great!
DeleteYum. Glad it turned out well! :) I'll admit, I have this cookbook and have NEVER used it. Which I think is pretty ridiculous. I think it is because there are no pictures. As dumb as that sounds... I totally need pictures sometimes. :P XO -Alexandra
