Thing One: BOOK CLUB IS HAPPENING
This is so very happening! Are you interested in details?! Find info about the first "meeting" date, books we're considering, and sign up for updates if you want them. :) I basically want to read all five of those books, but let's not get crazy. February 22nd isn't that far away.
Thing Two: RUNNING IS HARD
This week I conquered four miles. I did jog 3 of those miles, and before you're worried that I'm pushing my body way too hard, please know that I'm aiming for 15 minute miles these days. Even at that rate, I was a big sweaty mess but my lungs weren't bursting or anything. You know that metallic, cough-y feeling you get when you push your body too hard? Yeah, that never happened and each time I took my heart rate, it was in cardio range. THANK YOU for all the support for St. Jude, y'all!
Thing Three: WEB DESIGN IS MORE FUN THAN EVER
I don't know if I mentioned it in December, but holy smokes - I was overwhelmed. I had a ton of projects (yay!) and a ton of work (yay!) and a ton of clients (yay!) and then, of course, the maintenance for my own business site and social media (meh) on top of my day job and I had a bit of a breakdown and it was awful. All of these things were good things, but I was stretched way too thin. Great advice from some wonderful people in my life encouraged me to set up a Client Packet and Contract, in which I spell out what can reasonably be expected of me. You guys, IT HAS MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE. Seriously. Also, Asana. It's like my lifeline. Really loving it all right now!

ReplyDeleteI am so excited about book club! I really want to start running but last time I did I thought I was going to die, ha ha, I definitely pushed myself a little too hard. I planned on a run this morning but the rain deterred me.
